Some Christians are just FLAT OUT BLIND to the Truth!!! When God is not first in our life we don’t hear from God first. 1 Timothy 2:4 says that God desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth. How is it that so many of us Christians today are still ignorant to God’s truth after we’ve been born again?
Humans will follow and serve anything that is put first in our life. It could be God, ourselves, husbands/wives, boyfriends/girlfriends, friends, $money$, sex, drugs, alcohol, partying, SATAN, TV, music, etc. Paul says in Romans 6:16-19 that whatever we yield ourselves to we become slaves to obey. If we yield ourselves to righteousness we serve God. If we yield ourselves to sin, we serve Satan.
Romans 6:16: Do you not know that whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?
We need to have a strong spiritually intimate relationship with God so that we are 100% sure we can hear Him speaking to us and guiding us into all truth. Just a little wisdom: God always speak to us through His Word. However, some people purposely refuse to hear and accept God’s word because they do not want to completely CHANGE their ways and come out of their sins. We must encourage each other daily to completely surrender to Christ, holding nothing back and to stop using God as a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or last resort to direct our life.
Proverbs 3:5-8: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones.
There should never be a back up plan when it comes asking God to direct and lead your life. In John 16:13, God promises us that His Spirit, the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit/The Comforter/The Helper/The Teacher will guide us into all truth, speak only the things that come directly from Heaven, and will tell things to come. When we have a back up plan what we are really showing God is our doubt and unbelief masquerading as false humility. Haughtiness brings on the lifestyle and mentality to believe that you do not need God for everything. It puts your needs, ways, desires, and thoughts in front of God’s. That is why to come to Christ we must first deny ourselves (Matthew 16:24-28). God is absolute and He needs no help. Do not doubt God. Trust Him completely.
God has an opinion about everything. Can you really hear God or do you just have a form of Godliness? The only we will know is by the fruit the each of us bear!! God Bless You!
